Hello, i'm new to this. I'v gone to support groups with my GF(she had it done back in '01) and i have to go to ones for my Hospital and i'm noticing something. THERE'S NO GUYS IN THESE GROUPS. It's kind of sweet because i live Big girls and to be one of maybe 2 guys in the group makes be feel kind of good but i need some guys to shot the **** with, to see whats going to happen after sergrey and what i'm going to look like after i lose the weight. I'v got a funny build were i'm 490 pounds but i'm 6'5" and my weight is all over(i'm a little bigger in my legs and @ss) I love the women, but i need my DOGS. So is there any guys around Syracuse. I meet this Cool guy name Pete at the group i went to last week but i know we're not the only 2 fat guys in Syracuse.....WE'RE MY DOGS AT...

Hey Dwight I am not in your neck of the woods as I live on this side of the state above Lake George. It is funny though how most of the people that have this done are woman and the Guys that do do this dont come out very often. I was 420 lbs when I had my surgery back on 02/19/2003 and now I am holding at right around 200. I already had one plastic surgery to remove a lot of extra skin and I am going for my second Plastic Surgery on the 7th. Hey Dwight, I run a support group on the Island and a new guy came to the last meeting. I think there is a "men's only" message board and I have been trying to locate it for him. If I find it I will let you know. Dawn

Hey Dwight, we have monthly WLS group meetings 1st Tuesday of every month at the Hazard Branch Library, 1620 West Genesee Street, Syr. 13204 @ 6:30 pm., next meeting is Tuesday Sept. 6, most months we have 1-2 post-op, I am pre-op but hope to be on the other side someday soon
