Postponed

I have all my authorizations, was ready for Oct 25, then was asked if I wanted 8/26. I said yes and went for my post op check up. Everything was finally a go. My husband then fell at work and I have had to be there for him, he is right handed, and he hurt his right arm and shoulder. So I have been doing all the driving. He is a Lt. Paramedic in Brooklyn, and under Line of Duty injury, he under house arrest from 9 - 5 each day. My surgeons office, said I might lose my authorization. I was wondering who had their lap band done in Brooklyn and can you recommend a really good doctor. My problem was getting into Manhattan and if there were any problems, I had no one else who could speak for me or get me home. My husband is the patient right now. But, it would be alot easier if I could just get a local doc and hospital. I really want to do this and don't want to lose my approval. My docs office made me feel like I was lying to them. I guess we have not established the kind of relationship I would have liked. I know she is a great surgeon, but give me a break. Thanks for listening. Looking forward to checking out a Brooklyn doc. Barbara, I used Dr. Ferzli who has offices in both Staten Island and Brooklyn. He is wonderful....has been in NY Magazine several years as a top surgeon. His Brooklyn office is on Shore Road...900 or 9000, I cannot remember. He does his surgeries at Lutheran Hospital in Brooklyn. Good luck to you. SH
