Had my first consultation today!!!
I am so excited, I saw Dr. Cole for the first time today. He is sooooo nice and very thorough with his explanations of the surgery. He will be doing the RNY procedure on me if all goes well. I am set for my intake appointment on Sept. 15th. So, what goes on in the intake appointment. He told me just basically who I was going to see and that it would be about 4 hours. But didn't tell me what to expect during that visit. Oh how I wish to be on the losing side.
So how does the weight thing go at the end of a lot of the posts? Do I put my starting weight/ current weight/ goal weight?

Shannon,
Congrats on your appt hun ~Hugs~ This is a very exciting time and good luck to you as you move forward on your journey.. I know when I went for my pre-surgical appt they:
Took Blood
Filled out paperwork
Chest Xray
Physical (quick)
Information class (1 hr)
Some need a EKG
Every surgeon is different hun but that is what I had on my pre-surgical appt.
I put 285/229/125??
my starting weight, then my current weight, then my goal with the ?? so people know I am not there yet.
Well I hope that helps hun. ~Hugs~

Hi Andrea,
Awesome, sounds like your closer than I am. Have you had your intake yet? I am wondering what goes on during that time. I know its 4 hours, and that I have to see several people that day, but what kinds of things do they do? Also, do I find out that day if my insurance covers and surgery date etc?
I am also lucky to have a friend who had WLS in Dec. 2004 who lives just around the corner from me, she looks and feels awesome, she is down 113 lbs. and he new size 11 pants are falling off of her, she said she would do it all over again, the best thing she has ever done for herself. She also had Dr. Cole.
Good luck with your physical !!!
Have a great day,
Shannon
