Hi Everyone, Just moved into town from Boston, I'm looking to find a support group for post-op (or both pre/post op) gastric bypass. Hopefully informative, lots of sharing, and friendship. Local hospitals make sense to me so I'll check there but thought I'd come here first. I'm living and working in Midtown thanks Bill

Hi Bill and welcome to New York!!!!! I live in White Plains, about 20 miles north of NYC. I don't of any support groups in Manhattan, but I'm sure someone on the main board of the NY board will. I go to a support group at St. John's Riverside Hospital in Yonkers, which the third Thursday of every month. Our next meeting is Setp. 15th, so if you don't find one in Manhattan, come join us. Bill, what an amazing journey! You look amazing! There is a support group at Lennox Hill Hospital that meets the 3rd Thursday of the month at 6pm. It is actually run by the practice where I had surgery. Hope that helps! Good Luck! Marla

Hi Bill, I'm in the City..Upper Westside. I am still pre-op with a tentative date of Oct 12. Ill be having my surgery at Mt Sinai Hospital with Dr. Herron and I believe there is a support group there that meets the first Wed of every month from 6:15-8pm at the Annenberg build...100th street and Madison. Hey there, Bill....welcome to NYC!!!!!!! I grew up in Manhattan and still work there but I live in Riverdale which is the Northwest tip of the Bronx, right below Westchester. I've only gone to the support group for my center. I wasn't sure whether or not I'm allowed to go to other hospitals' support groups. Also I had lap-band and it doesn't seem to be the most popular choice. If you hear of one that I can go to that'd be great! Glad you're here...you look amazing !!!!!!! Suzanne
