Anyone in my area having surgery the same day?

I just found out my surgery is scheduled for September 8!! I will be having it at Arnot Ogden Hospital in Elmira. Any surgery buddies out there??? Bonnie

Hi Bonnie, I am having my surgery there also, by Dr. Cole(no date yet though) you will have to fill me in on how it goes. Have yo been to the support meetings that they have at the hospital. I was going to my first meeting last month but didnt hear of it until it was too late to get there. I am going to the next one though.Maybe I will see you there. Nice meeting you. Debbie

Hi Bonnie I have already had my surgery, 7/28, and am feeling great. I have lost 54 pounds, whi*****ludes the weight I loss before surgery. Arnot is a great hospital. You will be on the second floor and the entire staff is knowledgable about the bariatric surgery. If I can answer any questions for you, please e-mail me. As you see, I live in Horseheads, which is not far from you. The next WLS Support Group meeting at Arnot will be October 3rd. They are a fantastic source of information for all who are looking into the surgery, pre-ops and post-ops. Again, if I can be any assistance to you, please contact me. Hi Brenda, I was wondering how you were doing since your surgery. I'm glad I reread the replys I was under the impression that they have the support meetings every month. I would have driven up there from Pa. for nothing. How much did you loose before the surgery. Does Dr. Cole required a percentage be lost beforehand. Some surgeons want 10 percent off.
