Sleeve Gastrectomy Anyone

Hello Again: Just curious has anyone here ever heard of or know anyone or had a sleeve gastrectomy (I think thats the spelling :]) if so anyone know of its success with the weight loss? Mona

Hi Mona, I have been here for quite some time. I haven't been quite active on the boards since I've had surgery. I had a sleeve gastrectomy. I had my surgery on July 22nd. Today makes a month since surgery. I have lost 28 lbs. so far. Has anyone explained anything to you regarding this surgery, why this surgery, or anything else. Hi Mona, I may be having a sleeve gastrectomy(2 stage procedure) and have done lots of research on this somewhat new procedure.
