Hi! I'm new here!
Hi, my name is Patty and I've been lurking for awhile and haven't posted. I have finished all my tests and the papers were submitted to the insurance company this week for approval. I have a "pencilled" surgery date of 9/19, pending insurance approval. So now I wait and hold my breath that it will be approved. It took about 5 weeks for me to finish all the pre-op testing, that was easy. The waiting now seems so much harder. My surgeon (Dr. Vithiananthan)'s office said that Vytra is one of the better insurance companies that approves, so I'm hoping it goes my way!
I have joined a gym already and I have been walking on the treadmill, this week I'll have an appointment w/a personal trainer to get started, and I'm seeing a nutritionist that has me on a low-carb/no white sugar diet, which is going pretty well.
I think I have to say that I'm very lucky, I have an extremely supportive husband and family who are helping me through this. I'm starting to get a little nervous.
Thanks for letting me vent!
Patty
