Plastic Surgery
Mine is with Dr Jeffery Rockmore at The Plastic Surgery Group, I have seen someone that has gone to Dr King and she loved him. If you are just starting out check into a few Dr like I did (I checked into 3) and then try to make that decision. Its hard but I will tell you Dr Rockmore is great and will go WAY out of his way to get the insurance to pay like he did for me TWICE. Here is a link to his office.

I know I should not say this but if you read my other post the persons scar I was talking about was from the Dr you mentioned but maybe it was just the way that person healed so its hard to say. One other thing about scars though is my wife is a nurse at Glens Falls Hospital and has been a nurse for some 25 years now and has said to me and anyone that asks about the Dr that did my PS how he did such a great job and how great my incision has healed and looks.
Hi Erin, I never thought that I would have PS, but I had a consult 2 weeks ago, b/c the excess skin is irritating. I can deal with my arms and thighs, but my tummy and breast are driving me nuts. I'm almost at my goal weight so now is a good time for me. As you begin your journey and progress you will see what is most comfortable for you. Good luck
i haven't went on a consult yet, but i have been researching costs for ps and the prices are outrageous. a tummy tuck run approx. around $8000. i want a tummy tuck and a thigh lift which from my estimation is going to run at least $15,000. so i am looking into having my ps done the a residental clinic program which should cost me a little less.

OK Erin I had a lower body lift back last year, the insurance company only would pay from hip to hip in the front. The rest they say was cosmetic and I paid from the hip to hip around the back and that cost me 5000.00. Now I am having the upper body lift and they are paying the whole thing but the inner thighs I have to pay for and its another 5000.00 just for that. The breast lift I cant help you out on that one so hopefully someone else can jump in here with a price.

hi Erin
some are lucky and do not need plastics but they tend to be light-weights to start.
some factors that help-genetics, not smoking, age, fat distribution all over the grape shape
some factors that make the need for surgery greater-genetics, smoking, being an apple or pear shape, having been fat for a long time, or having a very rapid weight gain with stretch marks, being super morbidly obese
personally I started saving as soon as I paid of wls (my insurance company capped payment at $7,500 for wls that did not go far)
myths: that losing slower will make the skin better
fact: the longer it takes the better the chance that you will build up some muscle under the loose skin so it appears tighter to the eye
myth:the fat and the cells are both lost
fact: for all that fat to be stored on your body you needed extra fat cells, connective tissue and skin to hold it all in-some wls and plastic surgeons estimate that for every 100lbs you lose you will be left with 6-8lbs of excess "baggage". So if you lose 150 lbs that is 9-12 extra baggage, lose 200lbs have 1-16lbs excess. Personally I have seen these numbers to be low in super morbidly obese people that carry all their weight through their mid-section. I know one panni surgery was 53 lbs removed on Marcia Rose in CA
fact : I needed reconstructive surgery, it was no longer just cosmetic at the time I had my tt/lbl and medial thighs
gratitude is my attitude
