Isn't the whole process just so exciting? Every doctor I visited, I would leave with a HUGE smile on my face, knowing that I was cleared for surgery. I am now in a waiting period...all of my appointments are done, my insurance has been approved, and I have my date--33 days from today! Good luck to you!!!!!

hi Lisa, I am getting started too. I sent in paper work and now waiting for them to call me for a consult. I'm pretty excited. My sister had this surgery in Indiana. I had to go to Indiana a couple weeks ago and while I was there I went to a WLS support meeting with her. It really inspired me to check into it for myself. I'm excited to be starting this journey and I'm excited for you too. debby

Its funny cause all my life i dreaded going to the doctors and now i am looking forward to all my appts! I am hoping i can get them all in next week so i can send out the paperwork. Good luck to you guys also! I know you must be so excited. Its like starting a whole new life. I actually started my high protien low carb, well pretty much no carb diet today and i have to say i did pretty good. I had my nephews 1st bday party today and another friends baby shower today, between all the italians and puerto ricans there i had pasta, bread, lasagna, rice and beans and more carbs then you can imagine, and i didnt even touch one. I had a piece of chicken and a small piece of pork, that was it. I even brought my own diet ice tea with me. I know its just one day but to get through both of those parties and not touch a carb was amazing for me{patting myself on the back}. Even drank my protien supplement. One day at a time!
