FIRST "SURGIVERSARY"
Hey NY CREW,
Today is my one year surgiversary. I am down 159 pounds (just couldn't get that last one pound off, could I?) and feeling very good. It's amazing how this year flew by in some ways and crawled by in other ways.
Feeling very blessed right now. I think what I will do to commemorate this date is to re-commit myself to a better exercise regime.
Thanks to all of you for being a part of my 1st year in this lifelong journey!Obesityhelp.com and the NY crew especially were a tremendous source of help, love, information and support for me during all of this and I am very grateful.
All the best to all the old friends, new friends - pre-ops and post-ops!

Thank you so much and thanks for taking the time to read my profile. I posted here before I updated it so I went back and added my recent entry and an updated pic.
I wish you all the best on your journey. I remember how great it was to read about everyone's progress when I was a pre-op and I imagine you must be filled with the same type of anticipation. This journey has bumps in the road, I won't lie, but the plusses SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO outweight the negatives that you won't even believe it. As a pre-op, I used to think how this tool is so amazing for everyone else but I will be that one person who does just mediocre. But now it's been a year of feeling like a baby in the world again and let me tell you, you will not regret your decision and you will feel amazing. Good luck to you and let me tell you, you are at a great place on the NY boards because the support I got here was second to none!
Renee
Congrats girly !! You have had an amazing year !! As we all have. I am glad we were able to go through our journey together. I know that without many faces here, it would have been alottttt harder !!
I have been blessed with poeple like you.

Congrats Renee!
You look AMAZING! Looking at your profile you look like two entirely different people. You are soooo beautiful! Can you believe that last year at this time we were all sitting here typing about all of our pre-op testing, our concerns about our surgeries and families, living, and getting over the fear of not being able to eat the way we did. You should be so proud of yourself. We have all accomplished so much this year as well as being given the chance to experience a new life with a new tool. Keep up the wonderful work---you now look 20 years younger! Way to Go!
Hugs
