I am experiencing very bad menstrual pains and I am at work, my co-worker offered me aleve is it ok that we take aleve. I know we can't have asprin and the package does not indicate that it has asprin in it normally I take tylenol but unfortunatly I don't have any today. Any input would be greatly appreciated. We are not supposed to take Aleve, Motrin or Advil. No anti-inflammatories or ibuprofen either. I did take Advil once, because I didn't have anything else and I had a killer headache. It didn't bother me at all, but we are all different. I think a doctor would say that it's ok once in awhile as long as you don't do it on a regular basis. They are afraid that these medications can give us ulcers. I was at the OH conference in New Jersey in May and a RNY surgeon that was there said that if these medications did not bother you before surgery that more than likely they would not bother you after surgery. Then again, that is one doctor's opinion. Joanne

Thankyou for your responses I did decide to take it this one time. I will make sure I have tylenol on me for just this reason. I did seem to help with the cramps and I didn't seem to have any other effects from it but I won't make it a habit. Thanks again and take care Love Elizabeth 251/137
