Cori Seminar at St. Vincents

Just wondering if anyone is going to the seminar at St. Vincents Hospital this comming tuesday? Or has anyone gone to one, is it worth it? THanks hope everyone is having a great day!

Hi there! I am actually scheduled for surgery on 8/11 at St. Vincent's. My surgeon is Michael Shuhkhnecht from CORI. They are amazing! My patient care coordinator, Yuko, has been just the best even when I had some difficulty getting approval. Dr. Shuhknecht actually called the insurance a few times and Regina, who is in the Spring Street office has been really compassionate and helpful. Mary, the nutritionist is also great. I cannot ask for a better group of people being supportive as the CORI center and the program is awesome. I highly recommend them. I also pushed to have my surgery at St. Vincent's because I am familiar with the hospital and they have really nice staff there. I'm getting nervous but mostly am excited...wish Thursday would hurry up and come!!! Please do yourself a favor and go to the seminar---CORI rocks! All the best, Suzanne

I went to the seminar at St Vicents ,they give information about the different type of surgery.Usually its the doctor,nutrientist and case manager who handle the insurance.Everyone is wonderful ,they are very helpful.So go .

I'm so glad you went! My surgery has actually been changed AGAIN and I am due in at St. Vincent's tomorrow morning by 7AM! They called me Monday to change it and I'd already eaten some solids (I had my last 3 days all planned out, hahaha), so I was told I was on liquids as of right then. Went to support group last night and the greatest thing was there was a woman who'd just been "banded" 2 weeks ago! Everyone is really great at CORI...spoke to the nutritionist again today just to "check in". I'm very excited and a little scared...but mostly I am incredibly ready to do this. Well i just came back. The seminar was good. I was a little upset that the surgeons were not available but i do have to say that Mary the nutritionist did a very good job filling in! I am really interested in the micropouch but i am not sure yet. I have to meet with the surgeon next week, cant wait! GOOD LUCK! I bet your excited.....
