Infection Information : ' (

Hello all, I am 14 days post op and have lost 22 pounds. When I went to have staples removed 3 days ago DR. had to reopen my largest incision on the left side and drain the infection(ouch). He sent me home with the wound still open and draining it is really gross. Has anyone experienced this before? If so how long does the draining last? It is very discouraging to see that everyone had such an easy time and I have not been able to even get around until recently. Thank you for the help!!! Lisa

HEY LISA...sorry to hear about your infection. MY WLS didnt have staples and i didnt have an infection. BUT, when i had my c section in 2002...i got a wound infection and i can relate to what your going thru. BE strong, i can sort of relate and once your thru this hard stage i know you will be happy. (((HUG))))....your getting healthier even if it dont feel that way right now LISA
