Hi. I'm new to this site and have a question for all. I'm 11 weeks post-op and feeling wonderful with the "new" me. I've lost 50 lbs to date but for the past 2 weeks weight loss seems to be at a stand-still. I'm wondering - is this normal and has anyone else experienced this? I also joined a gym last week and have started exercising. Thanks for any and all responses.

I'm 19 monts post-op and have lost 147 lbs. If you read some posts here and on some other sites, it seems that alot of u**** our first plateau at about 3 months. Keep up what you're doing with water and protein, and in time you will be losing again. Good luck... Joanne

Hi There: I am just about 8 weeks post op tomorrow and I have lost 44 pounds and a whole load of inches...However, I lose one week and 1 or 2 pounds the other....I do believe that we totally shock our bodies and then play catch up....In those 44 pounds, I have gone from a size 22 to a 16. Don't get me wrong, the numbers are upsetting me...I think I shouldve lost more...but that is just how I am.....I do look totally different and I feel great....but I hate numbers!!!! All the best to all of us....xoxoxo......chin up..... Let's keep in touch!!!! Cathy lap rny 6/10/05 272/228
