Endoscopy results are in....

Hi everyone, Had my endoscopy today. First let me say they gave me good drugs, and although I was fairly aware of what was going on, I was very comfortable. It was a stricture. They dilated me, and because it was pretty severe they are going to repeat the procedure in two weeks. The GI doc that did it told me to stay on liquids for another two weeks, ugh! But I will do whatever they tell me. I am going to up my protein though, as I have been feeling really tired out the last few days. Thanks for your kind emails of support. Deb

Hi Debra, I saw my doctor's NP yesterday and she told me I will probably need to be dilated two more times, then I shouldn't have any problems. I will have to stay on full liquids until this is all done, but can have sf yogurt, sf pudding and sf applesauce. They said I can try cottage cheese but it has to be blended well with no lumps. Thanks Mary. I'm not too worried about it. At least this is something that can be fixed without too much trouble. There certainly are worse complications that could have happened. I don't regret this decision for a moment. Thanks again, Debra
