Staples are out!!
Hi All
I just got back from the doctor's office... where he FINALLY took out those horrible staples, put on the steri-strips, and then told me to get on the scale. I figured that I had lost a few pounds -- afterall, I haven't put anything into my mouth that wasn'****er based. Imagine my surprise when the scale said I had lost 23 lbs in 12 days!! I can't believe it -- 23 pounds! wow. It is so nice to see the scale moving down instead of up!!
My only complaint for today is that I tried to eat some yogurt and found out that that particular food doesn't quite sit well in my stomach.. I've been nauseated ever since. (ugh) Oh well.. I'll try some baby food after my stomach settles down a bit.
I hope you all have a great evening! Love and Hugs to all!

Hi Joanne
Thank you so much.. it is a definite improvement to be feeling better instead of just writhing around in pain all the time.
As for my back pain -- right now it is nearly gone. My doctor took out so much scar tissue inside of me -- much of which was concentrated over my spine and my hip. We are thinking that those adhesions were what was causing 85% of my pain... so.. maybe, just maybe, if they don't grow back too aggressively, I'll have the added bonus of severely diminished back pain as a side effect of this surgery!!
Hugs to you,
Lisa Z.

Lisa,
Hun I bet you feel so much better that they are out.. Good to hear you are doing well and CONGRATS on that weight loss..WOW
I noticed that regular yogurt has way to much sugars in it, I use Atkins Card smart yogurt. If you used regular then it might have made you dump. I know I use regular milk and soy milk, both with sugars and sometimes it makes me feel sick to my pouch.
Well just an idea, but hope you feel better soon. ~Hugs~

Hiya Deb
Thanks for the heads up about yogurt -- I never even thought of the sugars in it; it was always just something good for me, but of course that was before I had surgery. Anyway I've passed the yogurt onto my daughters (who will devour it! lol) and will stick to my cottage cheese and baby food fruits for a while. Now all I have to accomplish is getting in enough calories. My doctor said he wants me to eat between 500 and 1,000 each day.. but I struggled to eat 320 today. I hope it gets easier as I get used to eating food again.
On a different note, I saw that you moved -- I hope that went well for you guys. I grew up in that general area (a little north of Wurtsboro in the Ellenville/Napanoch area) and it always brings back happy memories when I come across my old stomping grounds. You didn't even know it but you brought a big ole smile to my face just by mentioning the new town you moved to. Thanks Hon
Love and hugs to you,
Lisa Z.
