Hey there FAM........ I have been away for a little over a week, but I am back in action. It feels real good to be sitting at this computer and posting on this site right now. I was kinda feeling like I wouldn't make it to here. I guess we all go throught that. You know the woulda coulda shoulda's..... Well, I am a little over a week post op, and feeling pretty good, despite the fact that I was in the ER yesterday because one of my incisions seems to be infected. It's not an internal infection. I just gotta continue to clean it as I have been, and keep it super dry. I am having a hard time getting my protein in with the mushies stage, so I am seeking some advice from my fam here today. How can I get in some protein during mushies? I will be trying to come on and post everyday from now on, as I am feeling better. Thank you guys again for all your love and support. My favorite dish at your stage was made in the microwave. TOOK a spoonful of ricotta cheese, sprinkled it with LO fat mozzerella cheese and a spoonful of red sauce! YUMMY and loaded with protein. I also got my protein eating tuna salad, chicken salad and shrimp salad. I made certain i finely chopped the meats and celery with a small electric chopping machine. I also ate CARB countdown yogurt and cottage cheese to keep my proteins high. Between meals i would have a snack of the chocolate carb countdown milk and that has protein in it too. I also ordered from bariatric.com the NECTAR fuzzy naval which i use on days i have not much of an appetite which happens. GOOD LUCK LOVE LISA

It is good to hear that you are feeling better. I am having my surgery next week, by Dr. Kini also. Just wondering how your experience was at Mount Sinai and how long you stayed there? Congratulations on becoming a "loser"!

Blanquie, Hello my angelette, I am glad that you are doing better and your pain is less... ~Hugs~ I know you had a hard time so far but I sure hope all goes smoothly for you now... You will feel better every day hun!!! You know I used that press and seal to keep my lap incisions from getting to wet, it works awesome. Then I would have hubby change them after I was all done with the shower. Mushies are a hard stage, well it was for me but I was eating: Atkins Carb Countdown Yogurt Protein Shakes Cottage Cheese Chicken, Egg and tuna salad s/f Ice Pops Meats in the processor: Chicken & fresh Salmon Well I stopped that stage a little before I was meant to because I was so sick of eating mushy things. I added some soy chips which gave me so much protein and a little crunch. I wish you the best hun... ~Hugs~ Debra P 285/239.5/125??
