SUGARS, SUGAR ALCHOL?

Hi, I'm hoping someone can tell me the difference, and why something can be sugar-free, but have sugar alchol? Can we have this? Thanks, Janean

we can have it but in small amounts it has an effect on the stomach at least it does for me ... how are you feeling??? i hope all is well talk soon Stacy

That sugar alcohol thing is deceptive. They think that because it is distilled from sugar but isn't WHOLE sugar, they can still call it sugar free. Watch your intake. It is still sugar, in the end. Sugar alcohols also have a tendency to give those like us the *trots*, if you know what I mean.

Janean, Hun all I know is you really have to watch the Sugar alcohols, they are the ones that can make you dump.. and no one wants that.... I never thought about that before surgery and now I even read the label more carefully because of that. I think that is so bad that they can say "sugar free" and it STILL has sugar in it!
