Hello my AMOS Family,
OK this is rather embarrassing I am dealing with constipation these last 2 days, I have to go but it will not move! Sorry to be so gross but I need to know what to do. I have an email into my surgeon but I know he is in surgery today. I do not suffer all the time with this so I just need soemthing that will help get this out! I get the pain like I have to go then it will not come out all the way and it hurts Again sorry to be so gross.....
I was thinking about a suppository? I have never had this problem so I do not know anything about this! I am the one that suffered with IBS prior to surgery.
Please help and fast!!!

Gail,
Thanks hun, I just tried to call the office and I get there machine that they are still closed and here it is 9:15am and the recording says they are open at 9pm. I hate that office I have to say but love the surgeon I really would rather use something more natural then a prescription but I guess what they prescribe is what I will use since I need some releif now.
Thanks for posting hun.~hugs~

Gail,
I just called again and got them, I talked to Donna and she said she will call a script into the pharmacy for Merolax (sp?), did you use that stuff?

Deb,
Nothing is worse than having to go and not being able to... I was there last year and ended up with anal fissures because of it. The Rx that you mentioned -- Miralax -- is wonderful! It doesn't cause any cramping (or at least it didn't for me) and it does work quickly. And it also doesn't make it so that you can't go unless you are using it.. so don't worry about that kind of dependency.
Good luck to you Hon.. I hope that you feel better soon!
Gentle hugs,

Lisa,
Hun thanks for the post, I will wait until I get home from work to do it. I was not sure how fast it would work and wanted to be home for it, not at work. I will also start taking the Benefiber chewables so this will not happen again... Yes it is killer and trying to sit here and work sucks!
Thanks again ~hugs~

Ohh Debra....(hugs)
Sorry to hear you are having problems. First you have called you doc but I know with mine that if I do not go (BM) within 24 hours I have to do a suppository. I then go within 10-15 min. Are you on a fiber med.? I am on Benefiber. I take 1 chewable every morning. It helps keep things moving (if you know what I mean). I am also on chelated iron for the rest of my mens. phase so that also makes it harder to go. Ask about the Benefiber when you talk to your doc.....I take a orange cream chewable. It really helps. Good luck sweetie!!!

Karry,
Well not to be gross it was working well, I would have a BM over other morning but nothing for the last 3 days. Well I will try the Benefiber chewables all the time and try and find out what suppository I can use per my surgeon. Ducolax (sp?) is the one it looks like most surgeon prefer but I will see when I get a hold of the office, if anyone knows there!
Thanks hun for your support ~hugs~
