thinking of lap band and have ?

Hi, first post and have a question. I am in the process of learning about lap bands and went to a seminar today. I was surprised that it is same day surgery. Is that common? That makes me nervous to think that I would be without medical attention only hours after surgery. What have others done? Thanks for the help. Take care everyone :angst

Beverly, The people that I have talked to stayed over night and sometimes longer but I have never heard of you going home the same day. I had the lap RNY and I was in for 2 1/2 days. Best of luck to you and welcome to the board....~hugs~ Debra P

good morning Beverly Welcome to the posting side I hope to see you more often....
