Embarrassed by family

My Uncle recently died and I attended the funeral. I don't see my mothers side of the family much since they live about 3 hrs away. I seemed to get more attention then my grieving Aunt. Everyone was like I can't believe your so BIG! Needless to say I got very defensive and went and sat in the car. None of them know I'm having Gastric bypass and since I don't see them that often; won't they be surprised at our next meeting. Which by the way will be a Wedding next Summer.

You go girl!! Imagine how foolish they'll feel then! While sitting in the car had to be difficult (I'm sure we all have times we either did that physically or did it mentally!), it's great that you're looking forward instead of dwelling on their little minds! Kelly, Well good for you, ingnorance is bad.... I am sure they will have their jaws drop when they see you next time.... Just hope that people like that will think it was THEM saying something to you that made you lose the weight because people that are that mean always think it is all about them.... Funny how family sometimes has a way of being annoying as hell. I recently went to a cousins Wedding and all mu Aunts and Uncles from NJ I havent seen in awhile all went up to my wife saying Lisa what happened to your husband he looks like a horse. Like its my wifes fault or something. It pisse me off because they wont say anything to me because being fat and picked on all my life has made me a professional and giving better lines then they can give me. So with that what I think I am trying to say is Tell them to worry about their own Disfunctional Families and be shore to point out whomever the Black Sheep is when you begin your Tirade!!! LOL

Hi Kelly Hang in there! I know just how you feel! My Uncle asked me if I was pregnant when I was at my highest weight! Just think soon they will be amazed at how "sexy" you will look in your new clothes! It is such a wonderful feeling! Hugs Marianne
