i have found a support group not far from us... its at Mercy Medical Center... The reasoning for ne not to start a support group is bc i had almost 75 people wanting to attend and my home is just not big enough... so while i was in the hospital a month ago Dr Garber was my bariatric dr and he seems to know his stuff. Support Group meetings are held the second Tuesday of each month at 7:00pm in the Mercy League Lounge in the CHS Management Center. (See below for directions.) Patient Education Sessions are also offered at 6:00pm, before the Support Group Meetings. During the Patient Education Sessions obesity and related issues, the surgical options and the required work up will be discussed. Attendees at the Patient Education and Support Group meetings do not need to be Mercy Medical Center patients ~ friends and family members are also welcome to attend.
