I had a great day!!!!!

I went for my first consult today and everything went smooth. My weight is 278#'s and I have never been so big. My BMI is 52 and the doc wants me to loose 30#'s prior to surgery to lower my risks. I go see the psych doc on July 27th (my deceased fathers B-day) Maybe its a sign? I am waiting for the nutritionist to call back with an appointment and I am scheduled for a colonoscopy on August 17th. This will be my third one as my Dad passed away in 1999 from colon cancer. They have all been negative so I am not worried. I am just to excited. I have to go for a sleep study as well, they should be calling today with an appointment. My husband asked a funny question. He wanted to know if the sleep study would be at night. dah!!!! WE laughed because I was also asking dumb questions, while filling out paperwork I asked my husband how old was I on my 7th birthday? I actually meant to ask What year was I 7. Excitement I guess! I go back to the doc on August 9th and hopefully they will have approval for me then. I will keep you posted. Chris ps.. Glad you had a good experience for your 1 visit.....I'm sure you are happy with your choice of surgeon....and it must have helped your hubby getting hes questions answered too..... Chris, Hun that is awesome that it went well and I hope you get through all your testing soon so you can get on your way. There is no silly questions hun because you will still think of so many as you wait, write them down and ask away. I know I had my hubby there with me so he can tell me what the Dr was saying, as I was so very nervous... well it all went well and I am getting better every day.
