2 WEEKS and Counting down! :)

Hi all! Two weeks from today is my surgery! WOO! I am getting excited and nervous at the same time! I am still waiting for that approval letter from Oxford. I was told verbally last week that the surgery was approved but the length of inpatient stay was "pending". I have to follow up with them and my surgeon tomorrow to see if this was straightened out. I start my week of liquids on July 4th after my weekend trip to Boston! I will look forward to a nice "last meal" in Boston! Actually, I've really been having too many "last meals" lately and I am ready to move forward with the liquids, the banding and my new life as a loser! Told my bosses that I was "having a procedure" and would need a week off and they were very understanding. So I am glad I got that overwith. So what items will I need to take with me in the hospital? My surgeon will keep me in one night. I've never had ANY type of surgery before so this is all new to me. I can't believe its 2 wks away. I remember saying 7 wks....6 wks...and it was so far away...now its coming up quick! -Dee

Hi Dee Waiting for approval letters is worse than preparing for the surgery!!! Don't you just love that the surgery is approved , but the inpatient stay is "pending"? I hate waiting for something I so desperately want. I am so happy for you as these next 2 weeks fly by. Before you know it, you will be a "loser",and the night away.
