Hi KD I too live in the Elmira area. My doctor will be Dr. Cole. My first appointment is July 12. I'm not sure if you know there are support meetings at Arnot Ogden. I'm not sure when the next one is. I'm not sure if I can answer any of your questions but there is lots of information on this site. It's great to have the support of everyone on this site. There are people here that are going through all stages from pre op to post op. I hope you find the help I have found from this site. Good Luck

Hi KD Welcome to the board!! Congratulations on your decision to have WLS. I am from Horseheads and Dr. McKane is my surgeon. I was scheduled for surgery in March, but due to a change in insurance companies, I had to complete 3 months of a supervised program. At present, I am waiting for approval. I may be able to answer some questions about pre-op stuff, but nothing about post-op stuff at present. You have come to the right place for answers. The people on this Board are wonderful. Everyone here can answer questions from just about any stage in the process of this surgery. So ask anything you want as someone is sure to have an answer.
