Hello my AMOS Family, ~hugs~
I just wanted to peek in and say TGIF for all of you working this week, I have been home but returning on Monday...eeekkkkk. I think I will be doing half days for that week to get myself back into the swing of things.
I hope you all have a great weekend, try to stay cool because it is going to be a hot and muggy one. I was hoping to get out and walk some but not if its that muggy.
QUESTION:
How did some of you deal with getting back to work, if you don't work then getting back to your daily life after WLS?
For me, I am very nervous to be back at work, I am scared to get sick there and if I need to lay down while I am at home I can but once back I can not...
Well take care all and thanks for your support...

Hun thank you so much for posting. ~hugs~ I can not wait for your day to come so we can all support you through. How are things going for you?
Yeah I will have to play it by ear I guess, I am only 10-15 mins from home so that is not that bad.
Take care

Blanca,
Wow you are close then... yeah..... I hope you get your date soon hun, I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers....~hugs~
All is well, learning and adding new things as I move forward. Feeling a little better with the head hunger and I will be working on it. I really never thought how hard it would be to deal with but I am only getting stronger for it so it might just work. Well my weight loss is going but I will have to wait for July 14th when I go back for my 1 month check to see just how much I have lost....
Take care hun and thanks for your support. ~hugs~

Hey Debra,
Happy TGIF to you too!! As for your question I stayed out of work for a whole month I do some light lifting at my job and I wasn't going to chance it. It was better that way for me because when I came back I was fully recovered and was able to work full time. My job didn't mind because I had coverage. Once I got my surgery date I spoke to the insurance person at my job and told her I needed to go on short term disibility for a month and we worked it all out from there. You definately want to take it easy and if you have to go home then go home. Your energy level will be very low for a while and your body doesn't adjust fully to the change for at least 3 months. I hope everything works out, let us know how you are doing. Take care

Liz,
Thanks for posting hun. ~hugs~ I am so glad you are doing so well..
I do not do lifting, well I don't have to anyways, I will have my guys do it. I am an office administrator so not much lifting. I am sure all will be ok, I just worry about the getting really tired.
Take care hun and have a great weekend.....~hugs~

Hi Debra- Congrats on your recent surgery- I am also one of Dr.G 's patients
as for getting back to work - can you do one week or even half days working at home? I've already asked my employer- if I can do that for a week or two- and it should not be a problem - but I work in sales and it usually slows down now- and my anticipated date is sometime next month.
Get plenty of rest while you can!
