Alberto, There is good news and bad news. Lets start with the good news.... You will feel your drink immediately. I used to love beers. After my surgery I had to give it up. It was just too gassy, bubbly, and filling. I started to drink Rum or Ameretto and Lactaid. I get drunk very fast. I try just to have that one drink. Here is the bad news for me that is.... The alcohol is absorbed in our new stomachs very quickly. I was sloppy drunk and could not get sober for hours after 3 drinks, so be careful. If you have not drank yet, try white wine. Good Luck to you and enjoy your daughters party....Lorraine

My doctor had me wait like 3 or 4 months before i had a drink. I took it slow at first. cause it hit me fast... Now i am able to have a few more drinks.... it hasn't affected my weight loss. Now i am almost 17 months post. so if u have a drink take it slow.... best of luck Nicole -212

AND remember, booze is NOT calorie free and you will be ingesting empty calories, so take it easy for that reason as well
