Delay, not halt?

I spoke with my Dr.'s office again this afternoon for some clarification. It seems that the doctors' insurance companies are seeking to make Bariatric Surgery a recognized speciality in the state of NY. The decision is to be made by July 1. So there may be a slight delay in early July for surgeries. I had requested an early July surgery, so I will be affected, but the office says it shouldn't be a problem. No guarantees of course, but hopefully I will be scheduled for early July anyway. I hope that clarifies things. If anyone has any better information, please post it. I'd love to know what's going on with this.

Suzanne, ok that sounds better then before, I could not imagine that they would NOT approve any surgery in NY State. Glad to hear that all will be ok for you and I know it is hard to have to wait... I wish you the very best...~hugs~ and may you get a date soon, keep us posted. Take care Debra P
