Thanks, I found his page earlier, which is one of the reasons I was considering him. Everyone said he was so available and e-mails back within 24 hours. I wrote him a couple of days ago and still haven't heard from him. I asked him about whether my 3 cesareans and my recent hysterectomy would be a problem if I want to do the surgery. I wonder if anyone else has had so much surgery before doing WLS. Renee, please let me know what your friend thought of Dr. Hamon or have her e-mail me. I hope it went well for her! Thanks for the post, Carol

Dear Carol, I too am in the consideration stage. I have been doing my research on this site and others -- also took out two books from the library. I'm reading as much as I can. Have been reading alot of the posts here on the message boards. I'm pretty sure I want to have the surgery -- I have a friend who has had it and lost 200 pounds. I currently have my third hernia and have to have it repaired -- so thought if I have to go in anyway for surgery I should get this done. I have struggled most of my life with the yo-yo syndrome and back in 1990 lost 90 pounds and never felt better, but then got married, had two kids right away and am at my highest ever -- 270. I also have high blood pressure and sleep apnea. I'm always tired, cranky and in pain. I have a 4 and 6 year old and can not really do anything with them -- don't have the energy, etc. I just want to feel good again and healthy. I WISH YOU MUCH LUCK WITH YOUR DECISION -- the doctor I looked into was Dr. Cooperstone in North Shore University Hospital Syosset. Whatever you decide I'm sure it will be the right decision and keep coming back here for the support you need.
