Good Morning Christine - and morning folks on the NY board!
I am so not feeling like working these days. It was all I could do to drag my butt in this office and not call in sick but hey, I made it.
Finally lost 2 more pounds. Funny how this weight just falls off in the early stages and as soon as you really get used to it, it starts slowing down and then you have to WORK it off. (I'm not complaining though - well, maybe just a little bit).
I have to go for MORE BLOODWORK next week. Damn. Last time I went, they took like 10 or 11 vials of blood and then had the nerve to leave me a voicemail that they FORGOT about one test they need to do and needed 2 more vials. ARE THEY WORKING FOR DRACULA OR WHAT?
I turned out that I did have slight deficiencies in albumin (protein), zinc, biotin, and selenium. I have to take supplements for that. Oh yes and I had to take prescription strength Vitamin D for a month to build that up. So now, back to the blood suckers. Oh well.
Chris, I hope all goes well for you at the doctor's too.
It appears I don't have any work to do this morning which annoys me because the day will drag on now. YUK! I get like this every spring. I should have been a teacher or something so I could look forward to having the summer months off from work.
Ok so I rambled enough. See you guys later!

The Greatest Diva is here How are you sweetie
Well you know the ups and downs of the weight loss process, the first three months you loss the most and the fastest then it all slows down, but not stopped so hang in there girl you look great sorry you sound so tired like everyone else seems to be saying.....
Well I hope those blood suckers get what they need and don't call you back again to say oh I forgot....that is just terrible...and I hope all your levels are back to normal.....I know I don't have to tell you this but have you tried to increase your protiens for more energy.....are you exerciseing that also give you more energy......are you making sure you are taking your vitamins as instructed.....and are you drinking enough water something to think about, but if I know the Diva she has in down pack, but we do get side tracked once in a while.....
Oh girl I know what you mean when you say the day will drag when there is no work for you.....I get that alot except durning registration time....and your right a teacher sounds great to have the summers off....oh how I want the summer off too...I can't even get vacation for the summer I used my time for the surgery..... it was still worth is no regrets...
So glad to see you
Christine
Hey Christine! You better stop calling me a diva before I get a complex.
Yeah right!
Girl, you KNOW I got the whole mantra down pat! Limit the carbs, up the protein, drink more water, do more cardio. Oh I KNOW what to do - but I fall off and get distracted and all that kind of stuff just like everyone else and I guess I've been in a sort of Spring funk lately and not staying on top of my game like I need to do.
But I'm human and this too shall pass and I will get back in the swing of things again. I have learned to allow myself to be less than perfect - BUT not so much so that I just fall off the wagon and STAY off - OH NO!!!!
I have 25 more pounds to go for my 2nd stage goal and 46 pounds for my ultimate goal (to be officially under 200 pounds).
I still say that if I don't make the ultimate, I will be very content with the stage 2!
Wish me luck (and tell me to get my $#@!* off the couch, drink some water, drink a protein shake or two for that extra, and get on that treadmill!!!)
I'm glad you are human like the rest of us some times we need someone to remind us to get your $#@!* of the couch and drink water and protien drinks and exercise, but I thought I did say that
Nae How did you set yourself up for the stages of # that was your goal, where did you start with your weight and I see you want to be in the onederland numbers which is where I want to be too.....
So you have 25 lbs to second stage goal and 46 to ultimate goal....and none of us are perfect and you know what a roller coaster ride of emotions this can be so.....pick yourself back up and get with the program girl I know you can do it....
Christine
Christine, you are too nice. You gotta CRACK THE WHIP GIRL!
You asked about my goals. The funny thing is that my surgeon didn't do the "goals thing" with me. I'm not sure that he really gets into that unless you have your own goal and then he tells you whether it is a reasonable one and what you will have to do to get to it.
I am 5 feet 11 so I'm pretty tall. I started out at 387 pounds. My surgeon told me that about 90 - 100 pounds will basically come off from just having the surgery. He said anything more, I will have to work off through proper eating, water, exercise, etc. When he asked me at my 6 month check up where I wanted to go, I told him that in time, I would ultimately like to be under 200 pounds for the first time in about 25 years! He said it will take a while and I would have to work hard at it.
I was one of those that was just praying to hit 100 pounds lost. Then when I got there, I wanted more so I set my 2nd goal at 225 pounds and then the ultimate is 199. That would be the miracle of miracles.
Anyway, let me stop yapping in here and go find something high in protein for lunch.
And yes, Mama Chris, I just took my zinc, botin and selenium!!!!
Such a good girl you are
You are really working that tool of yours and yes it is hard there is no such thing as an easy weight loss come on that's why we chose wls not that it was easy but we knew we would follow the rules better with the tool than with out.....
You are doing great keep up the good work......
Christine
Good Morning Christine,
How are u doing? Me alright. I know I have been away for a while. Work, the kids, baseball practice etc. it's just crazy. Preparing for my summer vacation also.
I went to see my Doctor for another check-up. need to get bloodwork done and I am down 83.5 pounds. But i have been doing really bad with my protein, trying to get back on track. Also dealing with going up 5lbs, down, up, down, it's stressing me out. I have to get back on track quickly.
Hope everything goes well at the Eye Doctor.
Love Mery
