I just picked up some flavored ISOPURE juices at my local GNC store. Little pricey $3.50 per bottle but at least at clear liquid stages i will get protein in too

I was worried at that time too but my doctor told me that the first few weeks they dont focus too much on the protein intake but they are more concerned about dehydration. Just thought id share that. Pam 247-196-135-125

I didnt like the Isopure AT ALL! It was so nasty that I left it in the cup over night and It turned into cement well it looked like it. I tried so many out there and didnt like them at all,so I stopped taking itfor 2 weeks or more until I went to THE VITAMIN STORE and the clerk told me about MUCSLE MILK which taste so good. It has 36g of protein. It doesnt have that protein or mediceny taste to it. Even when you open the container you can smell the flavor. I bought Banana Cream I take that with water instead of milk, because it bloates me. Although it taste better, water is good too! But i highly recommend MM Good luck with your protein. xoxoxoxo Rosie

My 2 cents. What tastes great to one person takes like crap to another. Also, what tastes good pre-op and what tastes good post-op changes as well. I thought Isopure was fine before surgery. Could barely stomach it as a post-op. But I do suggest trying various things to see what works for you. Don't buy in bulk for anything until you find you really like it and your pouch will tolerate it. Also as a post-op my tastes have changed as well. There are some things I loved as an early post-op that I can't stand now. Just try some of your surgeon/nutritionists suggestions and good luck in finding what suits you best! I know the surgeons dont tell us to worry of the protein right off the start but i worry of hair loss...if i keep the protein good it will minimize that so if i can tolerate the isopure juices i will. I do plan to make my jello with it...i hard you that in place of the cup of cold water...we will see tomorrow is my day!
