Hi All, I'm looking for a GOOD nutritionist - one that doesn't tell you that taking TUMS and Flinstones is enough vits for you. I'd prefer Suffolk. I paid out of pocket for the one my surg. recommended and wasn't too impressed. Thanks! Deb

Hi Deb, My surgeon also recommended that I take three tums and two flinstones after surgery till I could swallow whole pills, actually he says that you can still do that as long as your blood work comes out okay. I am one year post-op and only take a woman's vitamin and one calcuim pill. My blood work has been perfect and he wont add any other supplements unless needed. I would ask the surgeon you had if he thinks you need more. Best of luck, Teri 243/121

Look up Melainie Rogers in the nutritionist section of this site. She is in NYC, but is worth the commute. She is fantastic, extremely knowledgable, kind, understanding and will work with you and your needs to make this experience as easy as possible.

My nutritionist is in Manhattan, I am sure she is out of the way for you. But I am quite sure she will not prescribe tums and flinstones. http://www.cornellphysicians.com/lizgoldenberg/
