Lisa, For me, my surgeon asked me when I wanted to have the surgery. Well I said ASAP so he gave me the next appt or so. If you have something you need to work around I am sure they will try and work around it for you....just ask.. Hope you are doing well hun? How is it going for you? Debra P

Depending on your surgeon's staff, you may be able to suggest a date and they may do what they can to accomodate you - but I see in many cases, they select a date for you. In my case, I got approval about 6-7 weeks before I actually WANTED to have the surgery. My surgeon's office suggested a much earlier date and I was allowed to turn that date down and ask for a day within a certain week and got it. Good luck to you! Renee H. 387/246/-141

I was done with all my testing in Nov. I told my surgeon that due to scheduling conflicts I could not have my surgery until the beginning of Feb and that is when he scheduled it for me.
