Tracey Good Morning !! I can only tell you how much I TRY to get in a day, and thats about 80 or more grams a day. I did just find these really good bars.......and TRUST ME I hateeeeeee protein bars or drinks, I normally get it all through foods I get in. BUTTTT, I did find these south beach protein bars.......peanut butter and choc ones.......they are SOOOOOOO yummy and they have 20 grams of protein per bar. I found um at WalMart ! Good luck and Congrats !! Brenny

MY doc and nutritionalist say 60 mg at the least. Its so HARD. I had my surgery May 9th and I find it very difficult to get all that in. MY BF brought me home soemthing from GNC, though. Its called TOTAL PROTEIN and its liquid and has a very low sugar count. 3 tbs. is 18 mg of protein and it runs about $17 a bottle. Pretty good deal, and it is helping me to get to that 60 mark.

Tracey, Didn't Carena go over this with you? I have the paperwork she gave me and if you are still on soft foods, make sure you get protein first in your 2 oz three times a day, and you should still be supplementing with your protein drink (4 oz. 3 times a day****il she advances you to the next stage. If you are not certain, call her. She's great about answering questions. Debra

Hi Tracee, I emailed you an apology. I certainly did not mean for my last reply to sound rude or anything like that. I just wanted to make sure that the nutritionist did go over all the requirements with you. Every single doctor is different with different requirements along the way. With only being 3 weeks out, and you have the same doctor I have, I just wanted to make sure that the nutritionist went over it with you, that was all. The support here is vital, but if I'm not sure about the requirements my doctor wants me to have along the way, he or someone in his office will be the first one I ask. It certainly is good to get a sense of where everyone else is and what they do, but it still comes down to following our own doctors orders. But then again, that's just my own opinion. Again I apologize if I was rude or hurt your feelings in any way. Debra
