sorry if i affended anyone

thank you for taking the time to answer my post .. yes i was fired due to being sick but because i missed about 9 days out of 16 my boss said i wasnt needed anymore i did go to welfare and was told we are over income for cash but they have up to 30 days to determin if we can have foodstamps .. about unemployment i did apply and again they say they have up to 30 or 60 days to determin if it was my fault that i was fired and it also means we have to wait to see what my work says because they would not give me anything in writing on why i was fired .. my insurance is not through my work .. it is a new york state program for people that dont have insurance and cant meet giude lines for medicaid . it's called fidelis insurance ....i also want you to know that i wasn't asking anyone for money i got a email from someone and thats what they suggested i do, but i lost the email and was hoping that someone would see my post and reemail me . you know i didnt want to look like i was asking people for money you know about 2 years ago my hubby had a great job i didnt have to work we had more than enough money but were he was working closed down and yes he got another job but at a big pay cut we have had to ajust and i went to work but i got sick and fired and now we are just barrly making it , i called my surgeons office and said i needed to postpon e my surg and was told if i dont have it by 7/1 i lose it and they know my insur wont reapprove it because they had another patiant who had it postpond and he couldnt get it done had to fight and then he still was not approved ...... i am very sorry if i affended anyone by telling them what was going on with me i wont make that mistake on the boards again thanks lisa

Lisa I am sorry your troubled right now, there are many little hurtles you have to overcome to get the the path that leads you in your journey. I hope that , that path shows its self soon to you. I wish you luck on your path to a healthier life. Sometimes, the more hurtles we have to overcome, the better the journey will be, because of the bumps you have had to overcome..... i am new to this sight and am very sorry about the problems you are having. If you wish to email me your'e address i will send you out something ,no i don't think you asked anyone for money but it never hurt to help the ones in need. I my self have been in that position and i remember it wasn't easy. No my hard ship wasn't exactly like your'es but i also needed help and couldn't get it (it takes time) but some people reached out and made it possible for me to take care of my family during the time it takes to get what you need so email me and keep fighting for what you want !!!!!!!! and :hugs: connie

lisa- i read your other post....IN NO WAY DID YOU ASKS ANYONE FOR MONEY. the person who e-mailed you probably just misread your post.... there is nothing wrong with asking for help/advice. this is a support form. if you were fired due to a medical condition, you are entitled to collect unemployment. just make sure you present proper documentation to the dept. of labor, from your doctor stating your medical condition, and make sure your doctor's notes that your condition prevented you from working. i wish you and your family the best. donna
