Queens Metro Surgical Weight Loss Support Group health.groups.yahoo.com/group/Queensmetrowls/ Because We Can I would like to thank the Walking Team of the Queens Metro Surgical Weight Loss Support Group for joining me in our first organized charity walk. Our group had the distinction of being the only bariatric walking team in this event. I would also like to thank Lester's Losers Group and the Lighter for Life Group (Our friends that traveled from Upstate New York). We had a combined 30 people walking and we raised $6437.00 for the fight against Cancer. Those of us that walked can tell everyone that the weather did not cooperate and we walked in the pouring rain for "5K." The people that participated in the walk were new post ops like Rhonda and season veterans like Nancy and Kathy. I would to thank Ira for organizing the party. All of us had a wonderful time. Correct me if I am incorrect, but all of us bowled less than the weight we lost. It was a fun night shared by twenty of us.
