I'm Home

Hey All: Just wanted to check in and let you know I am home and doing well. I was kept an extra day in the hospital due to a very high heart rate... but am home now and getting better each day. i am sore and stiff and have a tube coming out of my stomach that will not be removed until next week. It is difficult to find a comfortable sleeping position. Believe it or not - my back hurts worse then the incision. In the hospital I was given Morphine at first for the pain - but it didn't work for me and actually gave me stomach spasms...PAINFUL I was switched to Demerol and that seemed to do the trick. Helped with the pain and discomfort and the stomach spasms stopped. Was given liquid tylenol with codine for home but don't need it as much and am trying not to use it at all, Well, thats about the jist of things on my end. Just happy its over with and hopefully will soon be feeling better. Thank you all for your good wishes..... I really appreciated it. -D

D it sounds like you have everything under control I am sure you will be feeling better real soon and as for not getting comfortable it does take time before youare able to, but you might try sleeping on your side with a full body pillowunder your side belly and between your legs it helps a little. I'm so glad you are home and doing well.... Christine
