Can I have Blood Test done Morning of Endoscopy?

Question for my friends. I am scheduled for my Upper Endoscopy tomorrow at 2:30pm. I wanted to know if I can have my required Blood work done this same morning being I have to Fast before my Endoscopy. Has anyone done this or know the answer?

Hey Louis, As far as I know you should be able to have your blood test done since you have to fast before both unless your doctor states that he doesnt need you to fast for the blood test. So I dont see where there should be any problems with you not being able to do both test in the same day. I hope that I was of some help to you. Have a nice day. Jonathan

Louis, I would think you would have to have the bloodwork a couple days before so they can get your results for the Endoscope no? I thought that the Dr doing the scope would need to know your levels and such before scoping you?...... Best to call your Dr just to make sure hun.... Best of luck......~hugs~ Debra P
