RNY vs Micropouch

I would like to know the difference between the Micropouch surgery and the RNY. If there is a difference which would be a better preference? If someone has experienced the Micropouch surgery, would like to know how your experiences turned out.. also can the Micropouch gastric bypass be performed by laparoscopic surgery?

Hi JT I odn't know which micro pouch you are talking about is it the sapala wood micro pouch or the fobi micro pouch, if you know which one we will be able to help you more.... I had the sapala wood micro pouch on 1/31/05 the differences is the size the RNY is about the size of a lemon and my micro pouch is the size of a grape it cuts off more of the elastic to prevent stretching, but don't let that fool you every surgery is fool proof and can be sabatages(sp?) the sapala wood micro pouch is only preformed open not lap.....
