Yesterday I went to my Cardiologist Appt. for what I thought was going to be a quick EKG and then a letter for my Surgeon. Well I was wrong. Now he wants me to go for a 2 part Nuclear Stress Test before he gives me his consent. Why cant anything go easy for me JUST ONCE. Im running around like a NUT to see these Dr's and they all just take their time and seem to aggravate me. Well Im trying to stay upbeat but their killing me!! :mad

I remember exactly what you are feeling. I had to go through the same thing. Only I had to have 2 nuclear stress tests. The fist one showed a shadow. SO I went to another cardioligest who felt it was a shadow from those things women have up top. SO again off for another stress test. The first doc wanted to cardiac cath me. Guess what the second test came back negative. So I was back on the surgery list but delayed 2 months from the original surgery date. I got there and I am now down 42 lbs. Remember good things come to those who wait.

I had to do this 6 month Dr supervised weight loss program for my Ins Comp, wow was I but it all works out the way it should...~hugs~ The Dr's do what they have to to make sure you are safe during surgery so I guess it really is for our good but it still stinks when you are trying to get it all done. Hang in there hun and you can always vent, scream, cry or just happy posts here, we are ALL here for you......~Hugs you~ Take care Debra P

Louis Hang in there, the prep for this journey is not easy, but its done for a reason, and as much as a pain it seems, in the end, it will have all been worth it. Smile, relax, and get ready for the ride of your life. Keeping you in my thoughts Brenny

Louis, I went through the exact same thing on Fri with my cardiologist!!! So I know how you feel. She was so non-chalant about telling me that I can make an appt to come back for a 3 1/2 hr nuclear stress test. Almost in tears, surely raising my blood pressure, I explained to her that I had just taken the entire day off from work to have the stress test, EKG and Echo and how no one at my office knows about this surgery etc. and I practically begged her to do it then and there. Afterall I did make the appt for a STRESS TEST! Anyway, she decided to do an Exercise Echo, not sure why she couldnt have done that in the first place and sent me on my way. I am still however, waiting for the office to fax my clearance to my surgeon. Anyway, keep your chin up. You will be done before you know it. -Dee

The whole entire procedure to get a surgery date is very aggravating. They do do it to make sure you are in good health to have WLS. If you have to have pulmonary consult do that asap. I needed to have a sleep study and that held me up three months. Good luck with everything and try to be patient.(very hard to be patient when it is something you want so much, I feel your pain) Barbara M
