Could there be anymore bad news...

Well now i am finally at my witts end. I just got a call from my pcp, with the news that i may have a urinary track infection. Great now what... I called the surgeons office, and they said i can be on antibotic but we have to make sure that i dont have any infections before the surgery, Now i am really upset, if i have to reschedule my surgery, it cant be done until September. I need as many prayers as possible... Thanks

Hello RoseMarie-I had all my pre-surgical testing done,and later that day the last consult with my surgeon before my May 9 surgery---I mentioned I thought I may have a sinus infection or it could just be my allergies and he told me to go to PCP--I went and he put me on antibiotics for 14 days--I called surgeon to let them know and they postponed me! I was more than a little upset,then it got worse,they told me after the 14 days of taking the antibiotics to call them to re-schedule,she told me I then had to have the antibiotics out of my system for 10 days!!! So all in all almost 1 month delay. Yes I was very upset to the point the lady at the surgeons office ended the call cuz I was gettin crazy!!!! All the preparation and emotional rollercoaster everybody always talks about you know? But I am just trying to tell myself there is a reason,and to go with the flow--I just called today and am re-scheduled for June 6th,I hope my health stays 'til then--Robin

Hey Robin, I wanted this to be over with no problems, i have never in my life had any infections at all, now at this point i have to get a urinary track infection. I spoke to the surgeons office, and they didnt see a problem as long as it was away by the time i go for surgery. I am just so sad...

Hey Rosemarie Sending lots of prayers your way. Drink lots of water and cranberry juice! That will help with the UTI! Take care. Tina

Tina, Thanks so much for the prayers. I have been drinking water, but i have to get sugar free cranberry juice after work. I am taking the urine culture tomorrow.. i hope its under control by then. What a set back.

Hey RoseMarie... that's nothing... I found out that I had one too 7 days before my surgery... at my pretesting also... my surgeon prescribed me antibiotics and it was cleared up in 3 days... so call and have them put u on antibiotics if you have one!! Good Lck Gia
