Going for Endoscopy What should I expect?

Im going for My Endoscopy on Thursday at 2:30pm. Are they going to put me out because I have bad Sleep Apnea and am very worried. I will mention this to the Anetheologist but has anyone had this test done that has sleep apnea?

Louis I didn't have sleep apnea but I know for the endoscopy they do give you something in the IV that you get hooked up to. It (for me) can be either Demoral or Valium or whatever they use you can call and ask them before you have it done they should be able to answer all your questions. Hope this helps. Louis, I have sleep apnea and had the endoscopy about 2 months ago. It's a breeze. One minute you are talking to the staff and the next minute you feel something warm coming in from your IV. Next thing you know you are wide awake and back to the area you started in. I had a slight sore throat for the rest of the day but it was gone by morning. Used my CPAP as normal that night with no problem.
