I Don't know what to do. I posted on this same exact topic like 2 hours ago, and because I haven't gotten a response yet, I feel like I"m losing my mind. My husbandkeeps telling me to relax, that I'm just going through anxiety because of all the information and other things I have gathered. I'm just losing my mind because my first consult is on June 1st, and I still haven't made up my mind between Lap Band or Bypass...........Please Help......... Signed, Going Crazy

Blanca, Hun I just posted to your other post, why don't you go talk to the surgeon, get all the info from him/her and then make up your mind? I do not think that the pre testing is different for either of them so meet with the surgeon and then take the time to make up your mind. Just some advise hun, I wish you the very best in what ever you do.... Debra

Blanca Take your time and weigh out all your options......and if you still have not made up your mind.......talk to your Dr in June, thats what thye are there for !! Your not going crazy.......there are MANYYYY emotions that will run through that mind of yours until your big day.......and manyyyyy more that will happen after...... Read up on each one......notice the amount you have to loose......and that may help you in your choice !! I had Bypass 10 months ago and have lost 180 lbs. I have NOOO regrets and I am not sure IF I was given the choice what one I would have choosen.......I am thrilled with my outcome so far with the bypass. Good luck to you and whatever you choose.

A good surgeon will give you the pros and cons of each based on your weight and medical problems. Take to him or her about it. Relax you will amke the right decision for you. Eileen

Don't go crazy - don't put yourself thru unnecessary anxiety. You are not having the surgery tomorrow so you don't have to make the decision tomorrow. There are pros and cons to both types of surgery so it really depends more on your individual situation, goals, health concerns and expectations. Since your initial consultation is in about two weeks, I would take this time to continue to review the information available on both types, compile your own lists of pros & cons for each, add a list of questions about each that you would like your potential surgeon to clarify and make the decision with the surgeon once you have more information and his/her recommendation. Good luck to you. I know this process can be nerve-wracking, but you have to try to remain centered thru it all so that you can make sound choices. All the best to you!
