hot dogs...

Are fat free hot dogs on the grill ok? I know not much nutritional value...but I went to a cook out and passed one up not knowing if I should or not. Take Care, Roxanne

Hi Roxanne.... I tried one once and it made me So I wouldn't suggest it. They say that beef is the hardest for our pouchie to digest. I am 5 months out and don't dare to even look at beef. But then again everyone is different. We all learn by trial and error... but when in doubt CALL YOUR SURGEON. Good luck! Jalonda 371/254/160

I am 6 months post-op and still have yet had a hot dog....I am not a big hotdog person anyway. I have tried the veggie dogs though, they are pretty good. Everyone is different so you will have to just try and see....I couldn't do chicken for the first 5 months and now I can, so see what I mean?? If at all concerened please call your doc!! Good Luck.
