Mom's in hospital :(

Yep mom was admitted tonight..She has Pneumonia , she has had it for about a week (yep, she spent all day yest in bed), She has been really sick and the medicine she had was MAKING HER WORSE. We took her to urgent care tdy they instantansly put her on OXGYEN (her blood o2 levels were @ 83 when normally everyone should be @ 95!) and because they were so low they shipped us on over to the hospital..I just wish she would take better care of herself, She is an RN NURSE and to her everyone else comes first. I took the day off tommorow. I have my Pulmanary fuction test and then after that is done i will spend the day @ the hospital with her. So i will ttyl Kristen

Hey Kristen: So sorry to hear about your mom. Hang in there she will get better. Good luck with your pulmonary fumction test. I am having surgery in three days. It felt like this day would NEVER get here!! My best wishes to your mom for a speedy recovery. Keep your spirits up..... -D

Sorry to hear about your mom, but I can relate. My mom's o2 was 68 on Sunday and her lungs are filling with water. She didn't wake up much on Sunday but yesterday her o2 got back up to 92 and she woke up enough to say she was thirsty. My mom has always been heavy and she was always on a diet. She ended up with diabetes, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, 2 knee replacements, and major arthritis in her back which made it painful to stand. She ended up very depressed and in a nursing home at the age of 74. I was on the same course she too****il the surgery. Now I feel I have a chance. I hope your mom takes better care of herself and is there for you for as long as she can. I'll keep you in my thoughts.
