How long before tape comes off?
Hello everyone, Happy Mother's day to all of you mom's out there... I have a quick question.... I had surgery on Monday, no drains which I thank God!! I have tape instead of staples.. does anyone know how long before they fall off? I already lost 2 and dont know if that's a good thing..... Well hope everyone had a happy day!! Love to all!

Hi Gia,
So glad to hear your surgery went well!!! As far as the tape goes, don't worry about when they fall off, just don't pull them off......My doc said they would wear themselves off from showering, etc. You should be fine...If you are really worried always call your doc's office...Have a good night.

i am a baaaad baaaad girl cause i ripped them off before a week was up... but the reason for that is because i cant take the tape....my skin on my belly is very very sensitive and it was irritating me so i pulled it off piece by piece there is a string hanging out there somewhere near the belly button dont pull it.. he says if your insurance doesnt pay he pulls the string and undoes the operation ha ha ha just kidding anyway im glad your feeling goood you can call me anytime you have a question i mean it gia
Love ya

You are a bad girl I am so ready to pull them off but will wait a few more days... the worst part is when I take a shower and they get wet... a few hours after they totally dry is when it hurts the most... I guess they tighten up again and putt the skin.... And you are right as always I feel awesome and 95% back to normal... just a little sore when I lay down or sit and try to get up... a little hard to get the water in, but i'm trying... I was bad and drove on Sat and Sun... Hope all is well!

Lisa,
I have my husband home for the week to help me out with the baby.... but I can do everything but pick her up... he puts her in the crib and takes her out, he also takes her in and out of her highchair and gives her a bath, i've pulled her on my lap a few times because she cant climb, but I make sure she doesnt kick me in the stomach... I cant wait to pick her up in the morning and get my hug and kiss she gives me every morning and I miss the cuddle before I put her to bed... I'm sure by the end of the week I will be back to my normal self... I have my dr appt on fri so I'll ask the surgeon.... but like I said, I've been driving since Sat and it's not that bad, jus****ch the bumps... I have confidence in you, you will be fine and will be back to normal soon after surgery.... Just be tough and try not to take any meds... I didnt even come home with any, just had tylenol (crushed) when I felt real achy... If you wanna know the truth? the worst part is sleeping comfortably, and the second worst is sitting down and getting up, sore feeling, but very tolerable.....
