Questions for you all

Hi there I usually hang out over on the DS boards, but I had a question only for co-ny'ers. Okay, I'm to the point where my surgeon will be submitting for insurance approval here with in the next week or so. I have BC/BS PPO of Syracuse, NY ok on the back of my card it says of central new york region, but i've heard it referred to by my doctors as "of rochester" as "of syracuse" so anyways.... I was wondering who here has had the DS procedure w/ the same insurance and if there was a problem getting approved or if it was a breeze. I'm very curious and getting more and more nervous about a possible denial as time comes closer. So please if anyone has the same insurance and had the DS let me know please. Thanks all!! Hi Marci, Well, I have BC/BS ppo of NY...New York State Insurance...and they approved within a week. My surgery is May 23.....I'm so psyched ...anyway good luck on your journey. Best Wishes, Janean

Hi Janean, Thanks for your reply. I know that each state can have tons of different "versions" of their insurance. So not sure if we have the same insurance or not.. They approved in a week huh? Uggg I think I'd go stir crazy waiting *that* long (i know really not that long considering sometimes it's months) but I want an answer the MINUTE they submit LOL right....like that'd EVER happen!!! Marcie, I have to tell you, I have GHI and it was like hell waiting that week for approval. Once I knew they had sent in my paperwork I called almost everyday until I found out I was approved.... The funny thing is the Dr's office told me NOT to call it might slow things down but I did anyways, which I was glad because I did not hear anything from my Dr's office! Hi Debra Uggg, see that's what I'm afraid of. Is hell week!! I'm hoping that if I do have to wait a period of time, that it is no longer than a week, or I will go stir crazy!! Thanks for the advice to call, call then call agian, once I now they submit. I'll probably do that for sure, I'm obsessed with having to KNOW anything, I have NO patients AT ALL!!! Wish me Luck!
