Hi, Don't know if your friend has straight medicaid or one of their assigned insurances....but here goes. When I was looking into the surg. I pulled up a list of docs listed in the American Bariatric Association. If the doc isn't listed there I wouldn't go to them. Then I cross ref. those in my area against the surg. listed on my insurances website. Good luck Deb
