7 days out and I'm hungry
Gabby,
Speaking for myself,I didnt have that prob. I actually had to be reminded to eat. In your case it may be just a mindgame, you know what I mean? Your mind may not be adjusted yet to what your body has gone through. Keep your fluids up as much as you can. Drink lots of water, that will help you through that "hungry" stage. Good luck and best wishes!

Sorry to hear you are going through this so early in your journey....but yes this is you are mourning the loss of food....so hang in there it will pass.....I was never full when I started.....
Please drink your water and eat every three hours....try the cream soups they tend to be more filling but remember to drink your water...
Best of luck to you...

Gabby, I know how you feel. I thought at one time right after surgery that I was going to be the one that this didn't work for. I felt really hungry. I know that you say that it isn't head hunger. I thought that way too at first but now, looking back, I think it was.
Here's what you do. Call your drs office. Tell them. Maybe they will advance you to the next level or tell you to increase protein into your diet and decrease the amount of your protein drink. That is what they told me and as soon as I started eating "real" protein instead of drinking it, I felt fuller.
Good luck and hang in there. There were a few days I thought this wasn't going to work for me and I got real emotional and worried....but you can get through this and it will work!

Gabby,
I hope it has been getting better for you. Feeling hungry is never fun (head or real). Up your water if you can.
I was in the hospital for so long and being tube fed and orally fed that I was already getting some solids before I left the hospital LOL.
I was never hungray and still rarely do get hungry unless we are running around and I am way past meal time. I have gotten so used to my schedule that if I go to far past feeding time (LOL) I do feel grumblings. I don't snak and stick to 3 meals a day.
