Introduction

hey there everyone. have been a member here at oh for a while, just have never came onto the ny board. just wanted to introduce myself...my name is hope. i am going for the adjustable gastric banding. my surgery date is 5/5/05...and i am sooo excited. i can't wait to be on the other side of this. i have been obese and MO my whole life. i have been on every diet/exercise program ya can probably name and I am soooo fortunate to have this opportunity. i look forward to chatting with yas...and learning. hopefully i will be able to share my experience and help someone else along the way! have a great day!

Hope, Welcome to the NY board and congrats on having your surgery on the 5th....~hugs~ This is a great board hun and you will like it here.... I am still pre-op and having surgery June 6th, I am feeling the same way as you. I feel blessed that I am able to have this surgery and that all has been going smoothly so far.... Hi Hope!!! Congrats on your upcoming surgery!! Tomorrow morning I will be in Sisters Hospital getting mine. I can totally understand your excitement. Getting really nervous though LOL!! Hi Everyone!Thank you for the warm welcome! AS OF TODAY: One week till surgery. I think Im doing the wrong thing by counting down...its gonna drive me nuts! When I get my piercings and stuff, I tell them, don't give me a count down, just DO IT! Tony, your before and after pictures are amazing! CONGRATS to you! How far upstate are you? Im in what is considered upstate, Hudson Valley Region....how this is UPSTATE I will never know! Did they forget about Albany when they dubed us upstate??? I love motorcycles, four wheelers and snowmobiles! Our snowmobile is an ArticCat Trailrunner....Its a few years old and has less than 400 miles on it...we don't get to ride that often.......Our fourwheeler is in the shop, getting engin work, don't ask what that is cause I dont know, but I do love to ride it! As far as the motorcycles...Harley ALL THE WAY! One day...after I meet my weight goal, I am gonna get one! There was a big bike show at Ice Time Sports in Newburgh a few weeks ago. We went. My husband wasn't too thrilled with it, but I felt like I died and gone to heaven! Oh yea, and I have a thing for mud too! All right all! I have babbled long enough, gotta be coffee time! Hope, Hubby and I ride, we have a Suzuki Intruder 1400.....we missed that bike show at Ice Time...... Hubby is joining a MC club next month and they were there..... So your in Walden? we are in Goshen...... Well just wanted to post back to you again.....~Hug~ Debra P

Hi Hope, Dr Kwon did my lap band on March 17, 2005. He is wonderful as well as the staff at Bon Secours and his office. You will be in excellent hands. Best of luck to you. I have lost 35 lbs so far and don't regret doing the lap band ever. I for once am looking forward to summer, bring on the hot weather Good luck, Jodi
